# Publishing Your Article

Every article in Clayo begins as a draft, so you can review it before it appears on your public docs site. When it is ready, ask your AI coding tool to publish it.

## Review the draft

Ask your agent to list or open the draft article. Check that:

- The title clearly describes the task or question
- Steps are accurate and complete
- Links point to the right destinations
- The article is in the right collection

If you want changes, describe them in plain language. For example:

> "Update the Installing the MCP Server article with a troubleshooting section for connection errors."

Your agent can revise the draft without making it public.

## Publish when you are ready

To make an article live, ask your agent to publish it. For example:

> "Publish the article about connecting a custom domain."

The agent will use Clayo to publish the article and return its public URL. Published articles become available in your docs site navigation, search, and AI answers.

## Verify the published article

Open the URL your agent provides and confirm the page looks right. It is useful to check:

- The heading and introduction are easy to scan
- Code blocks and links render correctly
- The article appears in the expected collection
- Search can find the article using a likely customer question

## Make updates after publishing

Published articles are not locked. Ask your agent to update an article whenever your product, workflow, or API changes. After reviewing the revision, ask it to publish the update.

Keeping articles current is easier when you treat documentation as part of every product change. When a release changes what customers need to do, update the relevant article in the same workflow.
